How a €10,000 Development Turned into €80,000: The Lessons That Gave Birth to RENDANIT
When we first started the project, we wanted to create a revolutionary new dating platform that would elevate the online meeting experience to a new level. According to our initial plans and budget, all of this could have been accomplished for around €10,000. However, the way the development unfolded far exceeded our expectations.
The Pitfalls of the First Development Attempt
Initially, we chose a developer who seemed reliable and committed to building our dating platform. Unfortunately, in reality, our collaboration didn't deliver the desired results: during the first development phase, bugs, delays, and setbacks emerged. The project gradually slipped from the original timeline, while unforeseen costs continued to grow. Fixing new bugs consumed more and more time and money, but the platform never reached the required quality level.
Bringing in an External Development Team – New Hope, Higher Costs
When it became clear that the project wasn't progressing, we hired a new development team to salvage the work. This team worked professionally, but at a high price: their monthly fee was around €6,500, which almost immediately multiplied the original budget. The new team tried to fix the problems caused by the previous developer, but doing so on the existing flawed foundation proved very costly.
The Result: The Birth of RENDANIT
This journey led us to founding RENDANIT – a web development company whose mission is to support others in realizing their online plans, clearly, understandably, and reliably. By assembling our own development team, we created the foundation to provide our clients with high-quality and transparent services.
